Podiatrist Kevin McDonald, DPM
Kevin McDonald, DPM is the President of InStride Foot and Ankle Specialists, a group of more than fifty podiatrists located throughout the Carolinas. He has over thirty years of experience and spends his professional time at the Concord location.
The path to practicing medicine for Dr. McDonald started early. He graduated from Boston College in 1982 with degrees in mathematics and biology. He then earned his doctorate from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, California, in 1986. Dr. McDonald trained at the University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, then completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California.
In addition to serving as the president of InStride Foot and Ankle Specialists, Dr. McDonald has been a past president of the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society, a former director of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, and is the long time coordinator of the NCFAS medical assistant education program.
Dr. McDonald’s certifications include the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatry. He is also a certified specialist in wound care and shockwave therapy.
Dr. McDonald is a past fellow at the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management, the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
Podiatrist Jon Lyerly, DPM
Dr. Lyerly is a native of Clemmons, NC. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 2008 with a degree in Biology and a focus in Biomanufacturing and Biotechnology. He ultimately chose to pursue his interest in medicine at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He completed his three-year surgical foot and ankle residency at Lower Bucks Hospital in Bristol, Pennsylvania, on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
His areas of focus are wound care, ankle arthritis and arthroscopy, bunions and hammertoes.
He is happy to be back in his home state to serve his fellow North Carolinians, and where college sports, pulled pork barbecue, and Cheerwine are better appreciated (and available).
